Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance inspections (PMIs) in line with DVSA standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicle defects efficiently
- Complete defect repairs to a high standard
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring full compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Identify and report any additional faults or potential issues
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Minimise vehicle downtime through efficient working practices

Requirements / Expectations
Applicants must hold / be:
- Proven experience as an HGV Fitter, HGV Technician, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
- Familiarity with DVSA regulations and MOT preparation standards
- Ability to diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and manual inspection
- Experience working with a mixed fleet (e.g. trailers, rigids, units)
- Full UK driving licence
Desirables
It would be beneficial if applicants have:
- HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
- IRTEC accreditation
- Experience with trailers and ancillary equipment
